Why We Bark
---This is satire and not a real political party!---
Meet The Author
Jax's memoir tells the story of Jax's journey from working in the suburbs of Richmond, to his run for local government and into his years spent in the senate. All of this is during the rise of The Dog Party, and the changes it would have on the country as a whole and the political maneuvering that would happen.
A life in politics is usually dominated by meetings and demands. The demands to bow to every lobby group, every constituent and every task that could be thrown at your feet. The meetings are usually more concerned with the world of the humans and their myriad of confusing needs.
This book follows Jax as he is forced to navigate through the world of the Human Congressional Machine and get Proposal SB 061063 brought to the floor, and the deals that had to be made to get it past. This bill required that all pets be relabeled from Freelance Contractors to officially recognized personal therapy assistants and that all pets would be promised space to explore in cities and towns.
The bill almost died, but a last minute bipartisan deal with The Cat Coalition helped push the bill through. Once it was ratified by The Senate it was signed into law, and has become a strong piece of legislation and proof that The Dog Party and Cat Coalition can work together to benefit all pets of the United States. Of course, Jax comments on his involvement in the Pet Safety Scandal, and it's discovery and resolution.
